Day 1: Nyakalengija (1650m) to Nyabitaba Camp (2650m) – +25°C
Day 1 day of 8-days Mount Speke, Mount Stanley & Mount Baker Rwenzori trekking Expedition commences in Nyakalengija, a bustling village located in the Ibanda subcounty of Kasese district. Upon arrival at the park entrance, where all activities on the Rwenzori Central circuit route begin, you will be registered by the authorities and thereafter briefed. You will be introduced to the team of guides and porters who will assist you in conquering the three peaks. After listening to the briefing and introductions, adhere to the path of your guide who will navigate you through the majestic forests of Nyakalengija. Proceed with the ascent through this deep forest, encountering several tree types. Ascend by traversing steps and over small bridges until you arrive at the secluded Nyabitaba camp situated among towering trees above the Mubuku River. Upon arrival, you will receive guidance on the next steps and see this camp as your initial home, welcoming you to the Rwenzori Mountains.
Day 2: Nyabitaba Camp (2650m) to John Matte Camp (3505m) – +15°C

Following a brief descent, you will traverse the junction of the Mubbuku and Bujjuku rivers over the renowned Kurt Shaffer bridge. Upon encountering a steep incline, you will ascend until you are captivated by the bamboo trees. Continue the hike through the Shelter, navigating between the low and tall trees. You will thereafter traverse the banks of River Bujjuku before arriving at the moss-covered forest situated beneath the camp. John Matte is a distinctive camp, enhanced by the presence of Lake Bujjuku, with the River Bujjuku situated in front of it. The camp provides breathtaking views of the sunset on clear days, directly above Margherita Peak.
Day 3: John Matte Camp (3380m) to Bujuku Camp (3962m)

Ultimately, you will traverse the beaches of Lake Bujuku, where the terrain is very treacherous; however, a boardwalk is accessible after this section. Following the boardwalk, the exhilarating journey through the tussocks commences, with precise step calculations to avoid sinking into the bog. Bujjuku Camp serves as your overnight accommodation, situated in the heart of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Day 4: Bujuku Camp (3900m) to Mount Speke (Victoria Emmanuelle Peak 4520m)
Awaken before dawn and ready yourself under the supervision of the guiding team for the strenuous yet gratifying ascent of Mount Speke. Hike to Stuhlmann’s Point, named in tribute to the first European who precisely delineated and designated the vegetation zones of the Rwenzori Mountains. The trail ascends through the Snowline of Mountain Speke, culminating at the top point on Victoria Emanuel at 4420 meters. Picture the stunning vistas of the craggy summit, then proceed to Bujuku camp for supper and a restful night.
Day 5: Bujuku Camp (3900m) to Elena Camp (4541m) -5 degrees Celsius.
Today is the day 5 of the 8 days Rwenzori trekking expedition to Mount Speke, Mount Stanley & Mount Baker, starting the ascent to Margherita Peak, the highest point in Uganda and the most renowned peak. You will depart from Bujuku, traverse the tussocks, navigate the muddy terrain, ascend over the gully’s crest, and then utilize the metal ladder to scale a steep stretch. You will traverse the expansive groundsels amidst large, moss-covered rocks. This directs you to Scott Elliot Pass; go through the rocks till reaching Ellena Camp, the final campsite on the Central Circuit Trail that ascends to the summit of Margherita Peak on Mount Stanley. Upon arrival, unwind and prepare for the overnight preceding the summit day.
Day 6: Elena Camp (4541m) to Margherita Peak (5109m) and Kitandara Lakes Camp
Awaken at approximately 3 AM to prepare for the ascent, navigating high and slippery boulders. Subsequently, you will arrive at the Stanley Plateau, and once traversing it, your final ascent will guide you to the summit of Margherita Peak. Experience the exhilaration of traversing a glacier in the equatorial area, securely tethered together as a cohesive team. Day 7: Freshfield Camp to Mount Baker

On the eighth and last day, traverse bogs and cliffs, navigating several metallic ladders on the high Kichuchu cliff, followed by a passage through bamboo forests, ultimately returning to Nyabitaba Camp for a hot lunch.
